Students at Russell County Middle School and Russell County High School can begin picking up information packets today, which include many of the forms that the school district would typically gather from students at the beginning of the year.
At Russell County Middle School, packet pick up begins Wednesday at 8 a.m. and lasts until 5 p.m. Those hours will remain the same for Thursday and Friday as well. Packets can be dropped off on Friday from 8-5, as well as Monday, Aug. 24 and Tuesday, Aug. 25 with the same hours.
When packets are returned, students will receive their schedules and any necessary school supplies.
At Russell County High School, procedures are a little different.
Beginning on Wednesday, seniors will be permitted to pick up packets from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Thursday will be for juniors with the same pick-up time.
Friday will be for sophomores from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Freshmen can pick up packets on Monday from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m.
Tuesday, Aug. 25, will be a make-up day and packets can be picked up from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
At RCHS, parents are encouraged to complete the packets in the parking lot and return them before leaving campus. Parents will drive thru the awning in front of the high school and give the student’s name to receive the packet, which will include the student’s class schedule.
