“I went to sleep that morning with a lot less weight on my shoulders than I had in two or three weeks,” was how Russell County School Superintendent Michael Ford described his decision to start school virtually beginning August 26.
He explained that children’s safety has to be a school’s top priority in making the decision as cases of covid19 continue to grow in the county.
