Folks are reminded that the deadline for filing annual federal and state income taxes is one week from today. The normal April income tax deadline was extended this year until July 15th for 2019 tax returns, due to the upheaval created by COVID-19. Persons can generally obtain an extension until October 15th if the request for extension is filed by July 15th.
