A “shortened” Russell County Jaycee Fair gets underway Thursday at Veterans Fairgrounds in Russell County. The 2020 version of the Russell County Fair will be three nights only and with no carnival. The floral hall will open Thursday morning to accept submissions. Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. is a Horse Show. On Friday, a lineup of pageants get underway at 5 o’clock. On Saturday morning, there will be a Local Only 4-H/FFA Beef and Dairy Show, and on Saturday night there will be a demolition derby starting at 7:00 p.m.
