A single vehicle accident Sunday night on Highway 206 in Adair County has left one person dead.
Authorities say the accident occurred around 6:35 Sunday evening, nine miles east of Columbia on Liberty Road, when a 1995 Chevy S-10, being operated by Bobby Roberts, Jr. failed to negotiate a curve, struck a guardrail, and flipped several times. Roberts was pinned underneath the vehicle and had to be extricated by the Columbia-Adair County Fire department. Roberts was pronounced dead at the scene. The accident is being investigated by Adair County Deputy Josh Durbin.
