The rate of new COVID-19 infections continues to climb across Kentucky, as the state announced 518 new cases of the virus on Wednesday.
Governor Andy Beshear, who appeared live on WJRS yesterday morning, said that state is certainly seeing an escalation in cases, and that “It is just so critical we do the right thing right now to prevent what is happening in other states from happening here.” Beshear said the right thing is for people to wear a mask, stay six feet apart, and wash their hands frequently.
In Russell County, there was one new case reported yesterday, a 49-year-old male who is on home isolation. In the Lake Cumberland area, there were 21 new cases yesterday, with Pulaski county and Casey County again leading the way…Pulaski county with 10 new cases and Casey county with 5 new cases.
