On Friday, Deputy Sheriff Kenny Perkins arrested two persons on drug related offenses. Arrested were 25-year-old Perry Bishop of Russell Springs and 34-year-old Fernando Lopez of Bowling Green. Both Bishop and Lopez were charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, second offense, methamphetamine; trafficking in heroin; and trafficking in a controlled substance, drug unspecified, and Possession of Marijuana. Bishop was also charged with Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument. Both men were lodged in the Russell County Detention Center shortly before 10 o’clock Friday evening and are scheduled to appear in Russell District Court later today.
Also arrested over the weekend were 46-year-old Troy Doss of Russell Springs. Doss was arrested by Trooper Billy Begley of the Kentucky State Police around 5 o’clock Saturday evening, charged with possession of methamphetamine, two counts of fleeing or evading police, two counts of wanton endangerment, resisting arrest, and various traffic offenses.
Saturday night, Deputy Sheriff Corey Meyer arrested 39-year-old Joshua Godbey of Pulaski County and charged him wanton endangerment, first degree; criminal mischief, first degree; and criminal trespassing. Godbey was lodged in the Russell County Detention Center shortly before 9 o’clock Saturday evening
