Details are still not known following a jet ski accident yesterday on Lake Cumberland which injured at least one person.
Shortly after 3 o’clock yesterday afternoon, emergency personnel were called to the Jamestown Marina with the report that two jet skis had reportedly collided. A short time later, the Jamestown Volunteer Fire Department established a Landing Zone at the marina for medical helicopter.
Reports are that an 18-year-old had to be airlifted from the marina. WJRS NEWS made several attempts last night to contact Officer Travis Neal with the Department of Fish and Wildlife who, according to local law enforcement, is heading the investigation. However, as of late last night, Officer Neal had not responded to repeated messages sent to him.
As soon as more details are available, WJRS NEWS will make those known.
