New COVID-19 Cases in Russell County

Russell County continues to lead the Lake Cumberland area in the number of current positive COVID-19 cases.  

Yesterday, County Judge-Executive Gary Robertson announced five new cases in the county, bringing the county total now to 11 active cases of the virus.  

All 11 Russell County residents are now on home isolation. 

 Statewide, 190 new cases were reported yesterday for a state total thus far of over 11 thousand.   Also yesterday, two new deaths were reported, bringing the state’s total to 472.  

Health officials say that although much of the state is re-opening, persons must still practice social distancing and healthy habits for the foreseeable future.
