After rejecting the only bid it received last month for blacktop and rock for county roads, the fiscal court received only one bid again at their meeting Monday night.

Robertson said it was important to have a contract price for blacktop and rock because without a contract, any expenditure by the county of more than $30,000 requires newspaper advertisement and a waiting process of about 30 days. The Court accepted the bids from Gaddie Shamrock on the products for the next fiscal year.
