County government will spend less in general fund money next fiscal year.
County magistrates approved their 2020-2021 budget last night, which shows the county spending Sixteen Thousand Dollars less in general fund money than the current year.
However, the overall budget will reflect an increase due to grant money from the federal and state governments of about One Point Three Million dollars for the construction of new hangars and remodeling of the terminal at the Russell County Airport.
County leaders noted that the airport money is only pass thru money from the federal and state governments to the county.
