Columbia Man Escapes Injury in One Vehicle Accident in RC

One person escaped serious injury after the dump truck he was operating left the roadway and struck some trees.

Jamestown Fire Chief Jeff Landers told WJRS NEWS that Patrick Turner of Columbia was driving a loaded dump truck belonging to Billy Andrews Trucking of Columbia when the truck ran off the road near Scott Chapels Road, just south of Jamestown, around 4 o’clock Thursday afternoon.

Turner was not injured. Jamestown Fire Department personnel, along with the Russell County EMS and Russell County Sheriff’s office, responded to the mishap.
