A two vehicle accident yesterday morning resulted in one person being arrested.
According to Sheriff Derek Polston, the wreck occurred shortly before nine o’clock in the Royville community, just outside of Russell Springs. Sheriff Polston says Brooklyn Beard, age 18, was operating a 2016 Ram pickup truck when she apparently rear ended a 2002 Ford Van being operated by Russell Antle of Russell Springs. Antle was attempting to turn into his residence on highway 80 when the wreck occurred. Rain slick highways contributed to the accident.
Beard was arrested on the scene by Sheriff Polston and charged with Operating on a Suspended License and No Insurance. She was also served with an outstanding warrant.
She was lodged in the Russell County Detention Center.
Assisting at the scene were Chief Deputy Jerry Melton and Deputy Luke Hughes.
