Two Russell County elected officials will go before the Fiscal Court tonight for their annual fee report. Sheriff Derek Polston will present to the court the final fee settlement report for the Sheriff’s office, and Sue Popplewell Brockman will present the 2019 final fee settlement report for the County Clerk’s office. The Sheriff’s office and the Clerk’s office are the only two fee generating offices in county government.
In other business scheduled for tonight’s fiscal court meeting, the Court will hear from Jailer Bobby Dunbar with a monthly detention center report. Also, the court is expected to open bids from vendors to provide e-cigarettes and food service to the jail.
County Judge Executive Gary Robertson will recommend to the court an appointment to the airport board, among other items to be discussed at tonight’s meeting which will begin at 6 o’clock.
