Influenza is Still Spreading Across the State

The most recent report from the Centers for Disease Control said just over 13 hundred new cases of flu were reported the week prior to Christmas, another big jump from the 814 new cases reported the week before.    So far this flu season, almost 38 hundred cases have been confirmed statewide.   30 of Kentucky’s 120 counties did not report.

The CDC recommends that everyone over 6 months of age get a flu vaccination each year. There is still plenty of time to protect yourself from the disease; flu season usually runs into May.
