Flu level across Kentucky is now regional, according to the Kentucky Department for Public Health report. The department says there were 275 reported new flu cases in the commonwealth between November 17th and 23rd with every region of Kentucky having at least one confirmed case of the flu during that timeframe.
Despite it being December, the CDC still recommends a yearly flu vaccine as the first and most important step in protecting against flu viruses. Flu season typically peaks in February.
