The Kentucky State Police is stepping up enforcement efforts over the long Labor Day weekend during its Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over Campaign.
The campaign began several weeks back but really gears up this weekend as state police and local law enforcement focus on removing impaired drivers from roadways and safeguarding citizens. KSP and local law authorities will be conducting traffic safety checkpoints in an effort to enforce all traffic laws of the Commonwealth. Special attention will be placed on occupant protection such as seatbelt and child restraint usage, vehicle safety, insurance compliance, registration violations and speeding.
