The city of Russell Springs recently sold, using sealed bids, a backhoe and seven vehicles, including several from the police department, to the tune of around $21,240. This money will go to the general fund and the vehicles will now be removed from the city’s insurance plan as they were costing the city and its taxpayers several hundred dollar per month.
