Two Arrested on Meth Charges Earlier Today

The Russell Springs Police Department continued its efforts to combat the illegal sale of drugs in Russell County on Monday morning. Just before 6 am, an ongoing investigation led officers to a room at the Cumberland Lodge, according to the Russell Springs Police Department. As a result of this investigation, one male and one female were taken into custody after a substantial amount of suspected methamphetamine and cash were seized. Further, after a search of each individual by deputy jailer, an additional amount of suspected methamphetamine was located.

Those charged were Eddie R. Pierce, 31, of Russell Springs, who was charged with Trafficking Controlled Substance over 2 grams and Neysa R. Richardson, 29, of Liberty, who was charged with Trafficking Controlled Substance over 2 grams and Promoting Contraband 1st degree.

The arrest was made by RSPD Officer Ethan Pike, who was assisted by RSPD Officer Matt Parrish, RCSO Deputy Nathan Bradshaw, and deputies at the Russell County Detention Center.

Both were lodged in the local detention center.
