Search Warrant Leads to Drug Arrest Early Tuesday Morning

A search warrant was executed on Brown Road in Jamestown just outside the City Limits just after midnight Tuesday in the sheriff department’s ongoing battle to crack down on illegal drugs in Russell County, according to Russell County Sheriff Derek Polston. Arrested was Derek Neathery, 38, of Brown Road in Jamestown on charges of trafficking in a controlled substance 1st degree 1st offense and drug paraphernalia buy/possess. 13 grams of suspected methamphetamine and an undisclosed amount of cash was seized during the search, according to Polston. Neathery was lodged in the Russell County Detention Center.

More arrests are forthcoming and Deputy Nathan Ginn is heading the investigation with other members of the Russell County Sheriff’s office.
