Two Russell County men were recently indicted by the Adair County Grand Jury during their July session, according to court records.
The following were indicted by the grand jury:
- Michael S. Nichols was charged with fleeing or evading the police, 1st degree, four counts of being a persistent felony offender, first degree, two counts of wanton endangerment, first degree, criminal mischief, 1st degree, possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree 1st offense methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
- Jason S. Stanley was charged with criminal mischief, 1st degree, and cruelty to animals, 2nd
WJRS would like to remind everyone that an indictment is only an allegation. All defendants are presumed innocent and are entitled to a fair trial, at which time their guilt must be proven beyond a reasonable doubt.
