Officers Jackie Grider, Troy Young, Jeremy West and Anthony Darnell are the Russell County School District’s first level one certified school resource officers, per Senate Bill 1, from the very first SRO 1 Department of Criminal Justice Training class in Richmond.
Those four, along with 25 other officers from across Kentucky share the distinction under the new mandate.
