Kentucky Auditor of Public Accounts Allison Ball recently released the results of the office’s audit of the 2022 financial statement of former Russell County Clerk Sue Popplewell Brockman.
This audit showed no instances of noncompliance and no matters of internal control, according to the report.
In compliance with state law, the state auditor performs audits each year of county clerks and sheriffs.
This audit covered the period between Jan. 1, 2022 and July 31, 2022.
