The Russell County Lady Lakers’ volleyball season came to an end Monday night in the semifinals of the 4th Region Tournament at Bowling Green High School. The Lady Lakers fell in straight sets to the Bowling Green Lady Purples, the fourth-ranked team in Kentucky. Russell County lost the opening set 25–18, the second 25–14 and the third 25–17.
The loss closes a postseason run that included the 16th District championship and a victory over Todd County Central in the opening round of the regional tournament.
