Lakers lose to Dragons 41-13

Green County defeated Russell County 41 to 13 in high school football Friday night.

Green County’s Deacon Jones rushed for 156 yards and two touchdowns, then threw for 131 yards and three more scores. The Dragons finished with 344 rushing yards. Mason Collins caught four passes for 48 yards and a touchdown.

For the Lakers, Tanner Stringer rushed for 155 yards and a touchdown on 23 carries. He also threw for 114 yards. Russell County finished with 170 rushing yards and 139 passing yards. Myles Davis had four catches for 37 yards and a touchdown run.
