Jailer Dunbar Reports 93 Inmates, More Than $88,000 in Housing Payments Received

Russell County Jailer Bobby Dunbar updated fiscal court members Monday on the latest inmate numbers and revenue at the Russell County Detention Center.

Dunbar said the jail had an average daily population of 85 inmates during the month of July.

As of Monday, the detention center was housing 93 inmates. Of those, 52 were Russell County inmates, 38 were state inmates, and three were being held for neighboring Clinton County.

Dunbar also reported the Kentucky Department of Corrections paid Russell County more than $77,000 for housing state inmates last month.

Clinton County paid Russell County just over $11,500 for housing its inmates at the local detention center.
