The last day of school for students in Russell County has been pushed back one day.
Students will now finish the school year on Friday, May 22.
Russell County Schools Superintendent Michael Ford said the change was necessary after the school district used a non-NTI day during the winter that had to be made up.
The school board unanimously approved the change to the calendar at its special-called meeting on Wednesday.
