The Russell County Sheriff’s Office responded to 468 calls for service during the month of February.
According to the office’s latest activity report, sheriff’s deputies made 40 arrests and performed 148 traffic stops last month.
The sheriff’s office worked 17 traffic accidents including 2 with injuries. Deputies responded to 7 domestic calls, 7 alarm calls, and 5 animal complaints.
The sheriff’s office also responded to 9 motorist assists, 4 shots fired complaints, and 16 suspicious person complaints.
The sheriff’s office performed 198 vehicle inspections and issued 28 concealed carry of a deadly weapon permits.
The sheriff’s office reported just under $93,000 in property taxes collected last month.
