The Laker Tennis team was in action yesterday, hosting Somerset.
The boys team won 5-4. Carson Buras, Owen Buras, Ethan Coe, and Ben Brown each picked up singles victories. Brown and Owen Buras picked up a win in doubles competition. Gage Bryant and Clay Antle also picked up a win in doubles exhibition.
The girls fell to Somerset 6-3. Abby Helm, Callie Terry and Laila Hammond picked up wins in singles competition for Russell County.
Jackson Emerson and Molli Evans picked up a victory in a mixed doubles exhibition.
The boys are now 2-2 on the season and the girls are 1-3.
The tennis team is back in action on Friday, going on the road to Southwestern.
