Three people were taken to the hospital following a two-vehicle collision on Highway 127 yesterday afternoon.
The collision occurred just before 4:00 yesterday afternoon in the area of Walgreens and Java Springs.
Russell Springs Police say a 2022 Toyota Highlander operated by 42-year-old Amanda Miller of Russell Springs was traveling south on Highway 127 when she collided with a 2014 Ford Focus attempting to cross 127 from Cortez Lane onto Bernard Lane. Police say the Ford Focus was being operated by 24-year-old Petrona Cortez Gutierrez.
The collision caused Miller’s vehicle to leave the roadway. Miller, a passenger in her vehicle, and Gutierrez were all transported to Russell County Hospital by EMS for treatment of injuries.
