At this week’s Russell County Hospital Board of Directors meeting, hospital CEO Scott Thompson announced the hospital has worked out an agreement to have a neurologist on-site once a week to offer services.
Thompson gave WJRS News more details about the agreement and what services will be offered.
Thompson said this is something the hospital has been looking at for quite some time, and it will be a major benefit for Russell County residents who normally would have to travel for neurology services.
As of now, plans are for the neurology services to begin next month. We’ll keep you updated as more information becomes available.
