The Russell County 4-H Shooting Sports team had a strong showing at the Adair-Metcalfe County Competition.
In the 15-18 year old individual division:
Sarah Grider – 3rd place – bare recurve archery and target recurve archery
Nate Kerns – 3rd place – compound target archery
In team competition:
Brayden Popplewell, Carter Brown, Christian Diaz, and Daniel Hernandez -1st place – 12-14 year old .22 pistol
Aiden Mondie, Benton Kimbler, Brayden Kimbler, and Brayden Popplewell – 1st place – 12-14 year old .22 target rifle / also finished 2nd place in .22 sport rifle
Andrea Russell, Dalton Foley, and Will Hatter – 1st place – 12-14 year old black powder flintlock
Andrea Russell, Carter Brown, Dalton Foley and Will Hatter – 1st place – 12-14 year old black powder percussion rifle
Case McGowan, Kegin Stephens, and Vance Foley – 1st place – 9-11 year old black powder flintlock
