Pioneer Poetry contest set to get underway in March

The Russell County Bicentennial celebration is set to continue next month.

March will be the launch of the Pioneer Poetry and Prose Contest.

Russell County Public Library is organizing the event. Library Director Lindsey Westerfield spoke to WJRS News about the contest.

Cash prizes are being offered for first, second, and third place for each contest at each age level. Submissions are being accepted via hard copy or online through March 31.
