A new vision exam requirement will be in place for those renewing their driver’s license in 2025 and moving forward.
Those renewing their license can undergo a vision exam at the regional driver’s license office or through their eye doctor.
Matthew Cole with the state transportation cabinet gave WJRS more details about the requirement.
The requirement comes from a bill passed in 2021 by the Kentucky State Legislature. The requirement goes into effect on January 1.
