With the new year less than a month away, Russell County will celebrate its 200th birthday in 2025.
Events are planned throughout the year for the county’s bicentennial, but the first will take place in January and involve the gifted and talented students in Russell County Schools.
Susie Stephens, one of the gifted and talented educators, was on Community Conversations on WJRS and provided some details about what the students are working on for the celebration.
Hannah England, also a gifted and talented educator in Russell County Schools, provided some details about the event.
The community is invited to attend the celebration and interact with the students about their research and share information.
