The Russell County Sheriff’s Office released its activity report for the month of May.
The sheriff’s office responded to 490 calls for service, not including office calls or walk-ins last month.
Last month, the Russell County Sheriff’s Office made 32 arrests and responded to 10 domestic calls and 24 traffic accidents, including 8 with injuries.
Sheriff’s deputies responded to 16 calm calls last month, 33 requests for a deputy, 8 shots fired complaints and 12 welfare checks.
The sheriff’s office provided 6 mental health transports, served 55 court papers, and drove nearly 4,400 court security miles.
The office performs 62 vehicle inspections and issued 14 concealed carry permits.
