The ballot position drawing for the city council races in the upcoming November general election was held yesterday at the Russell County Courthouse.
Eight candidates have filed for six seats on the Russell Springs City Council. Based on yesterday’s drawing, they will appear on the ballot in this order.

- Cody Wilson
- David Blakey
- Lance Huckaby
- Gary Frost
- Sherry Daniel
- Ricky Barnes
As for Jamestown City Council, the six incumbents currently on the council are the only ones who filed for election. Based on yesterday’s drawing, they will appear on the ballot in this order.

- Mitchell Marcum
- William Murray
- Barry Coffey
- Tony Wright
- Terry Robertson
Voters will be able to cast their vote for up to six candidates in these city council races.
The general election is scheduled for Tuesday, November 5.
