The Russell County High School Basketball teams had a tough weekend, with both the Lakers and Lady Lakers going 0-2 in weekend action.
Russell County hosted two doubleheaders this weekend, with Clinton County visiting for a district matchup on Friday and Barren County visiting on Saturday.
The Lady Lakers fell to Clinton County on Friday by a score of 46-37. Rachel Bolin led Russell County with 10 points in that game, followed by Camdin Cooper with 9.
On Saturday, the Lady Lakers fell to Barren County 63-31. Hannah Yates led Russell County with 13 points in that game.
The Lakers fell to Clinton County 53-36 on Friday, as Mayes Gosser led Russell County with 21 points.
On Saturday, the Lakers fell to Barren County 69-59. Owen Loy led Russell County with 23 points. Mayes Gosser added 15 for Russell County.
The Lakers and Lady Lakers travel to Casey County for a doubleheader tomorrow. The first game is slated to tip off at 5:30 p.m. CT.
