The Russell County Middle School Laker Basketball team won 2 of 3 games over Casey County on Monday.
The 6th grade team won 30-22 with Myles Davis scoring 18 points, Luke Walters scoring 6, Landon Bryant scoring 4, and Will Coffey scoring 2 points.
The 8th graders also won by a score of 64-19. Kinnett Wills scored 14 points, and Max Davis, Dylan Stanelle, Noah McMillin, and Bryson Irvin each finished with 8 points. Walker Stephens scored 7, Maddox Shearer and Noah Bennett scored 4, Carter Stapp scored 2, and Adrian Eads scored 1 point.
The 7th grade fell by a score of 42-39. Alex Norton scored 13 points, Tyson Stille scored 9, Gabe Browning scored 8, and Tanner Stringer, Mannix Bell, and Myles Davis scored 3 points each.
The RCMS Lakers are off for a week before hosting Metcalfe County next Monday.
