Lynne Gayle Polston, 68, of Russell Springs, passed away Friday, October 30, 2026, at Monroe County Medical Center.
Born January 29, 1958, in Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth Paul and Patricia Louana Baker Hines. Lynne was a homemaker, a seamstress who delighted in making her family’s clothing and a talented artist who loved drawing. She loved her grandchildren and her dog, Chewy.
Survivors include one daughter, Wendy Polston (Robert Hall) of Russell Springs; five grandchildren, Natasha Baughman, Ashley Burton, Samantha Davidson , Nicholas Lawless, and Angelina Hall, all of Russell Springs; five great-grandchildren, Luna Veatch, Gunner Davidson, Jackson Veatch, Kiedis Jasper, Summer Burton. Survivors also include one brother, Christopher (Dawn) Hines of Indiana; and a special nephew, Jason Hines, also of Indiana.
In addition to her parents, Lynne was preceded in death by her husband, Randell Polston, who passed away April 21, 2019; one daughter, Brandy Atkins; one brother, Kenny Paul Hines, and one sister, Paula Hines.
Cremation rites were honored by Bernard Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to the funeral home to help the family offset the cost of final expenses.
