New middle school remains top priority for school board, but leaders look ahead to potentially building preschool center

The Russell County Board of Education met yesterday, and approved the district’s facility plan.

While building a new middle school remains the top construction priority for the school district, school leaders are also looking at another notable project in the future: a new preschool center.

Russell County Schools Superintendent Michael Ford provided more information to WJRS News.

Nothing is set in stone yet, but an area near Russell Springs Elementary would be considered a likely location for a new preschool center.
