Two Injured in Russell Springs Intersection Collision

Russell Springs Police investigated a two-vehicle collision Saturday morning at the intersection of U.S. 127 and KY 619 in front of Arby’s.

Police say the crash happened just before noon when a northbound Hyundai Tucson driven by 78-year-old Adalene Kiefer of Russell Springs reportedly traveled into the path of an eastbound Chevy Cruze operated by 71-year-old Barbara Popplewell of Russell Springs.

According to Officer Blake Adamson, who investigated the accident, Popplewell was not injured. Kiefer and a passenger in her vehicle, 76-year-old Margie Calhoun of Russell Springs, were transported by Russell County EMS to Russell County Hospital for treatment and observation.
