Mother, Daughter Arrested on Grand Jury Indictments

The Russell County Sheriff’s Department arrested a mother and daughter late Monday afternoon on indictments returned last week by a Russell County Grand Jury.

Deputies Chad Fox and Nathan Bradshaw arrested 50-year-old Twyona Owens of Columbia and 33-year-old Tarawyona Martin of Russell Springs. Both women are charged with burglary, assault and terrorist threatening. Martin is also charged with resisting arrest.

Following their arrests, Owens and Martin were lodged in the Russell County Detention Center. The charges stem from indictments returned by the Russell County Grand Jury last week.
