Lexington man arrested yesterday evening

A Lexington man was arrested yesterday evening by the Russell County Sheriff’s Office.

46-year-old Jeffrey A. Lawson was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of a controlled substance – third offense, operating on a suspended or revoked license, and illegal possession of a legend drug.

Lawson was arrested by Deputy Stone Bolin with the Russell County Sheriff’s Office. He was lodged in the Russell County Detention Center a little before 7:30 yesterday evening.
