Russell Springs city officials say they expect the new computer system at city hall to be fully operational next month.
Mayor Eddie Thomas told the city council at last week’s meeting that the new system is expected to be fully operational by the middle of May.
The new computer system will provide enhanced security as well as other features.
Among those is bringing back the ability for the city’s water customers to pay their bill online.
Thomas said it’s the first major upgrade to the city’s computer system in 25 years.
