Marcum says IDA purchase makes Russell County more competitive for business

Yesterday on local news, we reported the Russell County Industrial Development Authority is purchasing just under 68 acres off French Valley Road adjacent to the Lake Cumberland Regional Industrial Complex Site 1.

Russell County Judge Executive Randy Marcum said the purchase helps make Russell County more competitive when it comes to business recruitment.

The IDA will use over $1.2 million in state funding from the Kentucky Product Development Initiative to purchase the property.

The Kentucky Product Development Initiative provides funding for local communities to boost investment in site and building upgrades to support future, well-paying jobs and economic growth across the commonwealth.
