A 19-year-old woman was arrested early yesterday morning after allegedly assaulting a nurse in the emergency room at Russell County Hospital.
Russell Springs Police say they were called to the hospital in the early morning hours yesterday after reports that the woman, identified as 19-year-old Plemithy Montgomery, assaulted a nurse by striking their head with a door.
The nurse was treated at the hospital for injuries sustained in the alleged assault.
Montgomery was arrested by Officer Chris Tweedy with Russell Springs Police. She was lodged in the Russell County Detention Center on charges including assault third degree against a healthcare provider, disorderly conduct first degree, and resisting arrest.
