After several delays, work is finally underway on the Russell County Hospital expansion project.
Construction crews were moving dirt on the hospital campus Friday, as work on the $30 million expansion/renovation gets underway.
Plans for the expansion/renovation include nearly doubling the size of the current facility. This includes a new emergency room, new equipment, a new registration space, more office space, and more parking, among many other improvements.
