Adair County Schools is mourning the loss of a student at Adair County Elementary School.
The school district announced fourth-grade student Tate Akin passed away following an illness at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville.
Adair County Schools announced it will have additional counselors and support staff at Adair County Elementary School for the next several days.
