Applications are still open for a law enforcement officer that will be stationed at Russell County Hospital.
This position is part of a federal COPS grant that will provide funding for the officer.
Russell County Hospital CEO Scott Thompson said the position remains open and the hospital and sheriff’s office are still seeking a qualified candidate for the position.
The position is grant-funded for three years with a one-year extension.
